Yellow rattle

Yellow rattle (Rhinanthus minor)

An annual with opposite toothed leaves. Yellow-lipped flowers mature to a seed case, inflating to a papery bladder. A hemi-parasite on many grass species. Common in unimproved pasture and hay meadows.
