Common Bistort

Common Bistort (Polygonum bistorta)

Pale pink flowers form a dense spike at the end of the flowering stem. Patch forming perennial common on damp roadside verges and hay meadows. Used in Cumbria for a traditional herb pudding - Easter ledges.
